It’s Christmas and time for the puppies at the South African Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind to write their letters to Santa Paws.

These future assistance dogs have made sure to put their best paw forward all year so that they can be on the nice list this festive season. With the help of the association, the puppies have put together a special list of Christmas wishes in the form of a song- the 12 Days of Christmas (SA Guide-Dogs Version). They now need your help to make their dreams come true. Their wish this Christmas is to receive all the essentials that they need to become an assistance dog or to give someone who is visually impaired a long cane or much-needed assistive device.

From puppy school bags to long canes, and training sessions to dog toys, their Christmas wish list is full of much-needed items to help the association make 2024 the best year yet. “All of the items listed in this song are vital to the health and well-being of our assistance dogs and disabled clients,” says regional marketing manager Jackie Quail. “Even though our message is delivered in a very cute way, it is still so important that the association raises the funds needed so that we can keep positively changing the lives of people with disabilities across South Africa.”

Help the SA Guide-Dogs Association for the Blind this Christmas. Select which items you would like to gift to the association for Christmas and receive a certificate of thanks for your donation. If you are giving this donation as part of a gift to family or friends, remember to fill in the recipient’s name under the section for certificate details.
